Description
For your consideration, two NBC Orthacoustic 16-inch transcription records with two episodes of The Lone Ranger radio show. They are listed as program numbers 472 and 473. Parts 1 of each program are on one record, with parts 2 of each on the other record. Information I found online says that programs 472 and 473 were from February 1936. There is handwriting on the labels that says they were played in March 1941. Could be the episodes were originally from 1936, but were played again in syndication in 1941. I don't know; that's just one possible scenario. The records each have a matching Orthacoustic sleeves.
I don't grade records. These look good and play quite nicely. Played outside-in, 33-rpm. The part 2 record has a chip on the outer edge that doesn't reach the grooves, and there is a crack extending inwards about 4-inches. It makes an audible pop every time it comes around, but it's still playable. I have some other Lone Ranger/other program transcriptions that I'll be selling soon, but these are the only NBC Orthacoustic discs with complete episodes.
