Description

I'm trying to offer better value (what with p&p costs being so high), and so I'm offering 2 LPs in one go, cutting down postage costs. I'm not sure it'll work, but you have to try new things occasionally. If only one of these records is the one you want, contact me and we can arrange that too.
Second Edition: 4M517 - sleeve VG/Good (crease lower left corner), vinyl EX
Paris...: OVED50 - sleeve Good, Vinyl VG
Both LPs with the classic PIL line-up of Wobble, Levene, Lydon and AN Other. Jeanette Lee is rendered on the cover (I think Wobble had left by the time this was released) but what she did is anyones guess.
Just so there's no confusion - Second Edition isn't Metal Box, but it also kind of is. Metal Box was the "First Edition" as it were, and Second Edition has all the same tracks etc, but it isn't housed in a Metal Box. (If we liken this to books, this is the 'paperback' version, whereas Metal Box is the 'hardback' version). The differences mean that:
* there are two 33rpm 12" discs with Second Edition, instead off three 45rpm 12" discs with Metal Box * the records are way easier to get in and out of the sleeve, whereas with Metal Box you can spend ages faffing about opening the thing - and the discs get scratched very easily. Sod that. * you don't have to get up and change records as much. * this is less of a pain in the **** all round, and the music still sounds great, even though 4 Men With Beards is a shite label. But is Virgin any better, really?
