Here are TWO vintage 1950's original DOO WOP Lp albums including The Penguins, who had a smash hit with their song "Earth Angel", plus the Meadowlarks, Medallions, Cuff Links, Souvenirs, The Birds, The Pipes, the Calvanes, and the Romancers! This is a pair of original vintage circa 1950's 1st pressings, both records were published by Dootsie Williams Inc. Both of these records have been well loved but are still play worthy originals, covers have wear but portraits of the bands are still clean and bright and look great!
First, "The Best Vocal Groups in Rock n" Roll" released 1957 on Dooto records 224 DL.The heavy weight vinyl plays great but only rates VG, is glossy and clean, has numerous light marks, one heavier feel-able mark, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays great from start to finish with very good audio quality, some light surface noise, but clear sound, no skips, no jumps, still a very enjoyable listen! The jacket rates VG, front has bright color, great clean portraits of the bands, no signatures or writing, edges have old tape residue and new decent clear tape repair, back has some light spot stains, a water mark at edge (see all photos)
PLUS A great original 1955 LP: "Rhythm and Blues Hit Vocal Groups", released on Authentic Records AULP-501, this is an original vintage 1955 1st pressing with the yellow labels. The heavy weight vinyl rates VG+, is glossy and clean, has some light marks, nothing heavy, has been well cared for! Plays great from start to finish with very good audio quality, some light surface noise, but clear sound, no skips, no jumps, still a very enjoyable listen! The jacket rates VG, front has bright color, great clean portraits of the bands, top and bottom seams have been neatly repaired with non-yellowing tape, back has a pen signature and some light spot stains, a water mark at edge (see all pics) Own them now with my fair BUY IT NOW price!
