Description
Two original USA classic jazz albums. Selling as a job lot due to varying condition. Please read carefully and see photos.
1. Eric Dolphy / Out To Lunch on Blue Note BLP 4163 Mono 1964 First Edition.
Record itself I would say is in "Good" condition, there are lots of light marks but no deep scratches. Plays all the way through with some crackle in quieter passages, doesn't jump or stick also it's surprisingly loud and dynamic and an enjoyable listen.
The cover is only "Fair" quite worn at the edges and has some foxing and staining on the rear. These elderly USA covers can be flimsy and it has been repaired at the sides at some stage.
However, it is an original pressing with the original import duty stamp.
2. John Coltrane / Giant Steps on Atlantic 1311 Mono 1959 USA
Record has some light marking but no deep scratches, there are some marks that I suspect is paper that has come from the inner sleeve which could be cleaned but I don't want to mess with it. Plays without any jumps or sticks, there are some clicks and crackles in parts.
The cover isn't marvellous, the front isn't bad but there is chunk of the outer paper sleeve that has torn away on the rear (see pic)
So there we are a couple of monumental classic jazz albums, far from pristine but still well listenable and totally original from 1959 and 1964.
