Description

I am selling 2 - 1930s WOR Electrical transcription discs. These discs are for “ The Shadow” episodes of “The Bride of Death”. 1 transcription disc is part no. 1 of program no. 24 and on the other side it is part no. 1 of program no. 25. The transcription disc is part no. 2 program no. 24 and other side is part no. 2 of program no. 25.

These transcription disc say on the label:
“This transcription contains copyright material and is only licensed for one broadcast only”

Such discs were used for syndication and were designed specifically for radio station broadcasting, not public consumption.

"The Bride of Death", which originally aired on March 6, 1938. This is a historically significant piece because it comes from the definitive first season of the show, featuring Orson Welles as Lamont Cranston (The Shadow) and Agnes Moorehead as Margot Lane.

Condition:

* Untested playback condition
* Visually shows normal age/storage wear
* Labels remain clean and highly displayable
* No major cracks noticed
* Original paper sleeve included with wear and discoloration from age.
* The paper sleeves are pulled apart on the right side

Measures approximately 16 inches across and plays at 33 1/3 RPM.
