Description
I am not a hundred percent sure what's on these two discs but I have never seen anything like these in my lifetime. They are what I believe brass master records from this company. A friend of mine told me these play counter clockwise. Only telling you what I've been told. Please feel free to ask questions. Here's some of the history of the company I found on line Founded in Johnson City, Tennessee, and later briefly operating out of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Rich-R’-Tone was one of the most significant 78 rpm era record labels to focus on documenting Appalachian music in the decade after World War II. Owned and operated by James Hobart Stanton, Rich-R’-Tone Records famously issued the earliest recorded performances by The Stanley Brothers, and also released important recordings by Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper, The Sauceman Brothers, The Bailey Brothers, and Buffalo Johnson, among many others.
