AFTER A MONTH'S BREAK I'M BACK WITH MORE GREAT PROMO ITEMS FROM A COLLECTION ORIGINALLY OWNED BY A DISC JOCKEY WHO WORKED IN RADIO IN WEST VIRGINIA AND GEORGIA DURING THE MID 1960s, THEN WENT TO WORK AT WOR-FM AND WABC-FM IN NEW YORK CITY DURING THE LATER 1960s - KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS FOR MORE TOP QUALITY ROCK ITEMS!
This is a lot consisting of ONE ORIGINAL 1964 and ONE ORIGINAL 1965 TOM CLAY IBBB BEATLES INTERVIEW RECORDS, including the original foldout insert with pictures of The Beatles that came with the 1964 record. Tom Clay was a disc jockey on CKLW radio Windsor / Detroit who was able to use his industry contacts to set up interviews with The Beatles, and then sold these records containing the interviews though his IBBB Beatles fan club.
Details are as follows:
1964 RECORD - 45 RPM with large center hole, light blue labels - Has interview with John, Paul and Ringo on Side 1, interview with Ringo and George on Side 2. Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks. Labels have no real flaws. Condition of foldout insert with Beatles pictures is VG- with some staining and worn away areas at two corners, a couple of other very small tears, some age discoloration, some contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners.
1965 RECORD - 7 " 33-1/3 RPM with small center hole, white labels - Condition of record is VG+ with some surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. One label has some writing in pencil, labels have no other real flaws.
