Description
Jon posits this period as a return to Psychedelia. Its second phase, where Guitars met Acid-House to create a whole new noise. Many of the records come from that first surge, alongside key tracks by 808 State, the Stone Roses and Pet Shop Boys as well as left-field offerings by Joi and Dimensional Holofonic Sound - and three tracks with the involvement of the UK's presiding genius from this period, Andrew Weatherall. These fourteen songs are all part of that mood in one way or another, in their euphoric sound, experimental attitude, and mixing of dance with rock and back again. It was a wonderful time: the second age of Psychedelia. The release features dazzling original artwork and design by celebrated artist and illustrator Matt Sewell, along with unseen pictures and memorabilia from the era.
