Here are TWO SUPERB gold stamped white label PROMO albums from my collection offered up for sale/auction!  Buddy Holly is legendary and his music still very fresh sounding today. Buddy also discovered a star in Waylon Jennings who had been one of Buddy's Lubbock radio DJ friends. Holly recorded and produced Waylon's first single in 1958 on Coral records. Waylon was also Buddy's fill in bass player on the ill fated "Winter Dance Tour" when Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper whom Waylon had given his plane ticket to perished in February of 1959. It took Waylon years to get over Holly's death but only 7 years to release an album on RCA and 10 years to position himself at the top of the Country & Pop charts. Here is a very rare RCA promotional Lp which contains his greatest early hits with RCA from his albums dating to his 1st in 1966 to 1972. Waylon performs a Beatles' song and a Rolling Stones' tune, some Chuck Berry, a couple of Kris Kristofferson and some self penned numbers. A HARD TO FIND DJ LP!   Here, Waylon's record is united with a record featuring Buddy Holly's music as performed by Gary Busey who does startling and rousing live renditions of Holly's classics! FIRST, the vintage soundtrack album "THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY", released in 1978 by Epic SE 35412 Stereo, this is a first pressing DJ white label promo with the promotional only original color booklet with a BONUS 7" 33 1/3 rpm Flexi Disc record still attached inside - unplayed! The original white labels look NM, clean, no signatures, no signs of wear! Record grades NEAR MINT, clean and super glossy, pristine, looks rarely played, has been well cared for! Has been PLAY TESTED, plays great from start to finish with excellent sound quality! Very enjoyable listen! The cover rates EX, all edges solid, has light corner wear, no splits, no tape, binder is EX and readable, has gold PROMO STAMP and two small cut out holes on back, super clean, only light wear! The color booklet and record are in EX condition, is clean, pages look minimally handled! The BONUS 7" 33 1/3 rpm flexible record is still attached to the booklet and UNPLAYED!

PLUS another great promo from a country rocker, Waylon Jenning's "Get Into Waylon Jennings" special radio station pressing released in 1972 by RCA Records SPS-33-570, the original white labels look NM, clean, no signatures, no signs of wear! Record grades EX, close to NEAR MINT, is clean and super glossy, has only a couple of very light marks, looks minimally played, has been well cared for! Has been PLAY TESTED, plays great from start to finish with excellent sound quality! Very enjoyable listen! The cover rates EX, all edges solid, no splits, no tape, binder is EX and readable, has sticker shadow and faint signature color rub in upper corner on front, otherwise super clean, only light wear!
