five day week straw people - original 1st uk pressing on saga and in mindbogglingly perfect condition, the laminated cover is uncreased and shines like rays from the sun, the disc is also near perfect and unmarked. the only flaw is a small nick at the opening edge. i doubt any better examples still exist. musically its a classic of the british psychedelic scene and if you tot up how many actual genuine uk psych lps were made in the sixties, its alarmingly few...so this ranks with kaleidoscope, magic mixture, pussy, july, sf sorrow and then the list starts to peter out. musically its a touch downbeat with melancholic vibes, and for those who dontknow it, yes its made by a hairdresser...the "Guy" mentioned on the cover is half the band, and later, half of hairdressing duo Toni & Guy, gadzooks!

ex/ex totally astonishingly gorgeously near perfect example bar one miniscule nick on the opening seam, this could be invisibly restored, then most people would class this as close to mint. but bear in mind this is a SAGA lp and their pressings are ALWAYS SQUIFFY. so as with middle earth lps, you will never ever get mint audio. NO LAMINATE CREASING! UTTERLY FLAT AND UNBLEMISHED! A MIRACLE!
ive listed around 60 rare progressive, psych, folk and blues lps on ebay in a big clear out, please click other items if interested to see them all. they are all getting harder to find as the years go by, and prices and demand seems to have gone stratospheric.
all are 1st pressings, original uk editions.
all lps are placed in period/vintage plain paper inner sleeves. any generic polylined inner sleeves have been discarded as they are unsafe and damage lps, as per the policy of many serious collectors. old pvc lined inners are ageing, chemically unstable, and sticking to lps, paper inners are the only currently known way to avoid it. vertigo inners are retained and sent outside the covers to avoid damaging contact.
most photos show the fronts, backs, spine and labels so cover condition is fully visible in the photos.
lps listed include sam apple pie, hungry wolf, gerry lockran, mike westbrook love songs, shape of the rain, cressida, idle race, five day week straw people, dransfield, fuschia, rockin horse, gentle giant, and the now very rare aubrey small lp with insert.
grading is mainly visual, all the lps have been fully or partly tested mainly on the run in and first tracks, and any visible defects have been played through to see if theres any audible results.
tested on lenco/cyrus/tannoy 60s/70s equipment.
