2003 2LP Stateside Sampled. Originals of Soul-Jazz, Electronics, Soul & Funk used in Hip Hop classics. A great freestanding listen, throughout! I added a list of the artists below, but we go back to conscious black power era Nat Adderley, the tripping out of David Axelrod, KC, Latimore, Gwen McRae, Minnie Riperton, loads of rare groove tunes with killer breaks and loops, obviously!. There's three reasons to buy this you could say, to hear originals of Hip Hop tunes you grew up on, to get in to the soul, jazz and elelctronica or to get sampling yourself. A truly satisfying and thought provoking listen. Not much of a seller back then 16 years ago on vinyl, but now quite sought after - another seller has £55 on his!.
