Description

These two EX/VG+, Bee Gees, Vinyl, 12” LPs, “Rare Precious & Beautiful” Volumes 1&2, by Atco, 33-264/321, in Stereo, 1970, originally recorded between 1963 and 1966, are both 1st Editions, a True authentic First Pressing, made by Atlantic Records Company, Pressed in the USA, and both albums have the laminated Paragon Publicity cover with a life-size Malayan Butterfly design. We purchased them new and always kept both in a climate controlled, smoke-free environment and were handled and played by only knowledgeable, mature, and careful individuals.

These a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collect authentic, original vinyl in this exquisite condition that you could formerly only dream about. You will truly appreciate their incredible, pristine, museum grade LP albums which are a must for those “Pop/Psychedelic” 1960's Rock music collectors.

The distinctive Yellow Atco labels are in absolutely pristine condition with the base color extends into the unworn spindle hole and the black typing still perfectly crisp and readable in Mint condition. There is some discreet writing on Volume 1’s label and rear jacket covers which does not detract from the overall appeal of this collector’s rare find.

The vinyls both look pristine and gleam like brand new albums but the vocals haves some faint surface noise while the instrumentals still come through clear as a bell. They both still play through all but one track (scratch on SD 33-264, Side-2, track-1, "Second Hand People", pops) with a good sound quality: no other pops, sticking, jumps, and with only faintly detectable crackle when using headphones but not on my stereo speakers, using the same turntable source. Both albums are still an enjoyment to listen to and reminisce the great sounds of the Bee Gees unique songs. Both albums come in their original plain white label cut-out inner sleeves.

The original, semi-gloss covers are still in Very Good +, lustrous and intact condition, with songs listing and commentary by Robert Stigwood, a band member, on the back. Both sides are in great condition with minimal spinal and corner shelf wear, but no rips, tears, splits, or other blemishes, besides what was previously mentioned and some minor record bulge imprints on both albums’ front covers, but are still very flat looking. The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely any feathering.

I also have three other rare, original pressing, vintage Bee Gees LPs; the “Odessa” double LP, “Bee Gees 1st” and “Cucumber Castle”, from the same era and in the same condition, also up for sale, as shown in the last photo. If you’re interested in all of them, it would save shipping cost by combining the purchases. I use special made, secure record mailers and always ship vinyl outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits.
