ULTRA RARE, NO COPIES FOUND FOR SALE OR EVEN PORTRAYED ONLINE.
This was produced by the Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. The Psi Phi Fraternity was created at Howard University, an all-black University, in Washington DC in 1911. The chapter there was identified as the Alpha Chapter. From the website of the Alpha Chapter, this description of this ensemble was found, verbatim including grammatical errors:
"In the 1947, a group of gifted Brothers from Alpha Chapter, with song in their hearts and passion in their souls formed the Omega Choral Ensemble. This selective group of vocalists sang at various campus and fraternal events during the course of their existence. The founder of this group was Bro. Valerian Edward Smith (Alpha 1945). The directors of the Choral Ensemble were Smith, Bros. Charles William Baskerville, Jr. (Alpha 1949), George Neil McKeithen (Alpha 1949) and later Alphonso J. Patterson (Alpha 1954). In 1949, they recording and releasing an album of commemorative songs. In October 2001, the album was digitally re-mastered, then released on CD by Alpha Omega Chapter of Washington, DC. Below are the members of this esteemed Ensemble along with two songs they recorded in 1949."
I cannot find even pictures of this album online, much less another copy currently for sale or for sale in the past. Songs on the three records are: The Omega Sweetheart Song, Cherubim Song No. 7, Lonesome Road, National Omega Hymn, Ghost of a Chance, and In My Solitude.
The album remains solidly bound. There are chunks missing from the spine, moderate corner wear and light edge wear, light soiling of white spots. One of the sleeves is split on the bottom. The shellac has light scratches but no gauges and grooves are visible. In the world of 78 RPMs, I would grade this as VG+.
