Description
3 studio session ACETATES from Harry Chapin's "Sniper And Other Love Songs" recording.
THIS INCLUDES 3 SONGS THAT WERE NEVER RELEASED IN HIS LIFETIME, AND NEVER ON VINYL. 1. "CITY SWEET" in its ORIGINAL form here, before morphing into the different song "Someone Keeps Calling My Name" on the later "Portrait Gallery" LP.
2. "1/2-WAY TO HEAVEN" is again in an original form, with a completely varied arrangement, before becoming "Halfway To Heaven" on the " Verities & Balderdash" LP. "
3. "Dirty Old Man" recorded in the studio for release in 1972 before being left off the LP.
TO MY KNOWLEDGE, THIS IS THE ONLY COPY OFF THIS MATERIAL STRAIGHT FROM 1972. POSSIBLY ONE OF A KIND.
The only way to hear this material previously, was from a 2004 European-only CD compilation. It was never released in Chapin's lifetime on ANY format.
Also included are the songs "Woman Child", "Burning Herself", "Sniper", "Winter Song", and "Better Place To Be"
