What the heck, I've got nothing to do, so why not put some LP's up? I've got 1200 so if you've got some special interests in blues, 60's 70's or 80's rock, reggae, acapella or pop, let me know... Ya never know.... These are 3 KING CURTIS LP'S in excellent condition. "King Curtis & The Kingpins KING SIZE SOUL," is Atco stereo SD33-231, and is AUTOGRPAHED BY KING CURTIS, "To Tony The Best of Everything King Curtis" and is a DJ Copy. The DJ sticker is on the cover and there are signs of wear on the cover right next to the sticker. Of the three lp's only the vinyl on this one looks like it could use a good cleaning but my Nitty Gritty cleaning machine no longer works. There are no scratches on this one or the other two. Songs are "Ode to Billie Joe," "A Whiter Shade of Pale," "For What It's Worth," "To Sir, With Love," "Memphis Soul Stew,""When a Man Loves a Woman," "I Never Loved a Man (the Way I love You)," "Live for Life," "C.C. Rider," "I Was Made to Love Her." Dated 1967.
"King Curtis Plays the Hits Made Famous by SAM COOKE" is Capitol Records HIGH FIDELITY T 2341. I do not find a date on this LP. The cover is excellent though there are minor signs of wear from filing with other LP's along the bottom and edge. The back is amazingly clean. The vinyl appears as if never played BUT , there is a smudge on "Bring It On Home." I have not played any of these lp's nor have I attempted to clean the smudge. Songs list -"Ain't That Good News," "Bring It On Home to Me," "Having a Party," "Good Times," "You Send Me," "Tennessee Waltz," "A Change is Gonna Come," "Twistin' the Night Away," "Send Me Some Lovin," "Chain Gang," "Shake," and "Cupid."
"Soul Serenade" is Capitol HIGH FIDELITY T 2095. Again, I find no date. Cover is slightly more worn than Sam Cooke LP, but overall good. There are signs that this LP was stored tightly next to others. Vinyl is in excellent shape.. Songs include "Watermelon Man," "Last Date," Honky Tonk," "Soul Serenade," Tequilla," "Soul Twist," "Java," "Night Train," "Memphis," "Harlem Nocturne," "Swingin Shepherd Blues," "Wiggle Wobble."
All three of these LP's were given to me by Tony's (the DJ who the autograph was given to) widow. I have not played or listened to them. Please feel free to ask questions.
