We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Here are some comments by Velvet Underground critic James Jones:

Disc One comprises 12 tracks highlighting Lou Reeds’ pre-Velvet Underground days. Included are songs by luminaries such as The Carol Lou Trio, The Shades, The All Night Workers, The Primitives, The Beachnuts and, of course, The Roughnecks (how could you forget them!).

I really like the emerging druginess of Why Don’t You Smile by The Nightworkers (which was later reworked by Maureen Tucker and Jad Fair in the late ’80s). I even like (Do) the Ostrich by The Primitives, and some of the tracks such as The Beach Nuts singin’ I’ve Got A Tiger In My Tank, are okay. You can see the future direction Lou was gonna go by the recordings done by The Roughnecks, in that Lou’s drawl and distinctive guitar sound were starting to form. A lot of the early tracks sound very weird now and they must have sounded even weirder when they were recorded in 1964/5. Maybe the drugs were just starting to kick in coz some of the recording sessions sound like they would have been a real hoot!

The last three tracks of Disc One include a strange feedback drone called Loop which more than definitely hints at Lou’s future direction with noise eg Metal Machine Music recorded a decade later (or was the track just caused by speed psychosis?). The closing two tracks probably recorded in 1967 include taped conversation at a Andy Warhol book launch - with the Velvet’s first album playing in the background. The last track was simply more experimental taping of dialogue for the East Village Electronic Newspaper - circa 1967. Disc One is a very interesting historical piece.

LP Two is a significant odds and ends record highlighting Velvet Underground songs from 1968/69. Some of the tracks popped up again in the much better sounding VU album released in 1985. The tracks sound more like demos and include; Some Kinda Love, a rough early version of Rock'n'Roll, Here (Come the Waves), Foggy Notion, Inside Your Head, an amazing song called Ferryboat Bill whose guitar sound reminds one of Captain Beefheart and an OK version of Fever in my Pocket which again was recorded in the mid eighties by Mo Tucker and Jad Fair and called Guess I'm Fallin in Love. The quality sounds like it was recorded in a dunny block somewhere.

LP three starts with a live recording of Candy Says where the cat with the tape recorder keeps talkin Vietnam war stuff to his collegue over the top of the song. The tongues stop moving and calm down for OK versions of Some Kinda Love, Cool It Down and Who Loves the Sun. Side 6 sounds like a recording of a practice session featuring VU songs I've never heard of including; I'm Free, I Found a Reason and Walk it and Talk It. The album closes off with OK versions of Head Held High and I'm Set Free.
