This is a must have for any Weezer fan. Included in this listing is 3 rare Vinyl LP's from Weezer all 1st presses US releases.
Pinkerton was released in 1996 and there were only 5000 of these LP's pressed in the US. The sleeve is cardboard matte on exterior, glossy on interior. Inner sleeve has black and white map and the studio photos as used in CD booklet. Don't be fooled by other collectors describing their auctions as 1st press 1996 Pinkerton LP's. Pinkerton was re-released in 2002 and this edition has a barcode, the same as the '96 original but the spine of the record cover does NOT have any writing on it [the original says "weezer - pinkerton"]. The inner sleeve is a plain white sleeve, not the 'map/photos' sleeve of the original. As you can see in my pictures it contains a picture of the sleeve with the map. This record was bought in a record store closing down and is in excellent condition for its age. Record was never played and was bought for my personal collection.
Maladroit 2002 album by Weezer. 1st Pressed 05-14-2002 by Geffen Records/Interscope Records on a single black vinyl in a single sleeve jacket. Also contains a inner lyric sheet. Only 5000 LP's were made pressed this year and was never re-released. LP is still sealed in plastic and is in Mint condition.
The Green Album was released 05-15-2001 Weezer’s self-titled third album, collectively known as the Green Album, nearly never came to pass. The band had all but broken apart, with leader Rivers Cuomo choosing to go back to college and the other members dismayed at the initial reception to 1996’s Pinkerton. Persuaded at the turn of the century to return to the concert stage, the foursome launched one of the most enduring comeback stories in history, and in the process, penned 75 songs, the choicest of which grace 2001’s concise, tightly played Green Album.
The album is still sealed in factory plastic and is in Mint condition as well. The Green Album was re-released in 2013 by Mobile Fidelity Re-Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g LP at RTI. The one included in the auction is the original press from 2001 released by Geffen/Interscope Records.
