Description
In Soviet Russia, like in most of the pre-internet world, children's entertainment mainly came in three formats; state-sponsored live performances, the screen (TV, cinema), or the phonograph. To keep things lively, a wide selection of vinyl records was produced in the Soviet Union, such as this set of three (3) 33 ⅓ RPM fairy tale albums featuring the most popular children's characters!
Records 1 & 2 are very rare editions, with limited runs and unique artwork. The records are in very good vintage shape and come with the original sleeves. The titles are:
1. "Маленький Мук – В. Гауф (Little Muck by Wilhelm Hauff) from around 1972. Vinyl, LP, Mono, Paper Sleeve. The wonderful tale about the life and adventures of a dwarf - a man with small stature and a large head. Everyone called him Little Muck. He was left an orphan early and his relatives drove him out of the house. Little Muk goes around the world in search of shelter and food and has extraordinary adventures. Mind, courage and resourcefulness help him punish the king and retinue for insults and achieve good luck ... Мелодия – 33 Д 30471-72, Format: Vinyl, 10", 33 ⅓ RPM, Repress, Mono
2. "Приключения Барона Мюнхаузена" Э. Распе (The Adventures of Baron Munchausen by Rudolf Erich Raspe) Label: Мелодия – Д 31985-86 Format: Vinyl, LP, 10", Repress, Mono, Pink Labels. Narrates the story of how, along with his talented henchmen and an exuberant girl, he set out to save a town from being captured by the Turks.
3. "Стойкий Оловянный Солдати" Г. Андерсен – "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" by Hans Christian Andersen is a literary fairy tale about a tin soldier's love for a paper ballerina. The story has gained popularity in many countries of the world. Music by Tchaikovsky. Label: Мелодия – Д-3258, Мелодия – Д-3259 Format: Vinyl, 10", 33 ⅓ RPM, Mono, late 1960s.
