 BACH Suite #2 for Unaccompanied Cello  -   Soloist: ERICO MAINARDI 

 London Set LA-131 consisting of three 12" 78 rpm records T.5286, T.5287 and T.5288 in an album 

This is the original 1950 78 rpm record set in the original album

The cardboard album is complete with spine, front and back covers as well as the program notes 

inside the front cover and is in excellent solid condition

RECORD GRADING (Important, please read and ask questions if unclear): 

T.5286 (sides 1 & 6) Condition: Side 1: Shiny, a few minor marks - 

                                                               two inches in is one stressed groove that makes a brief static-like sound

                                                   Side 6: Shiny, almost no marks of any kind  

T.5287 (sides 2 & 5) Condition: Side 2: Shiny, a few minor scuff marks

                                                   Side 5: Shiny, a few minor scuff marks - two inches in is one stressed groove that makes a                                                                      short static-like sound a little less than the one on side 1

T.5288 (sides 3 & 4) Condition: Side 3: Shiny, a few minor marks

                                                   Side 4: Shiny- almost perfect, very minor 'pimple' two inches in

Overall, the records play beautifully and look great , I grade this set at 8.7 out of 10- it would have been 9 out of 10 except for the two stressed grooves on sides 1 and 5

As is typical for shellac 78's of this era there are occasional background sounds and  there is the typical slight background hiss.  Records all are perfectly flat- there is no warping.

I  point out all flaws, so that you will have no unpleasant surprises when you receive your records.

Please refrain from bidding on this set if you are looking for a mint copy- 

this is a really excellent copy of this rare set but it is not perfect, due to the minor condition issues noted above.  

Please do not ask for price adjustments after purchase due to the set not being mint.

I did not clean the records except for a minor surface wipe.
