*** Depression era 1930 NYC Jazz ***
1932 press on French Brunswick (two years after it's 1930 US original release). Two classic and superb hot sides by Duke Ellington's Orchestra, who recorded as The Jungle Band from 1929-1931 while under contract of the Brunswick label.
Wall Street Wail is of course inspired by the Wall Street crash of 1929 that plummeted the world into a horrific economic depression. We wonder how many of these 1932 French issues were pressed, since by this time the missery was spread globally.

condition: (grading is from 1 to 10 with 10 being new) visually: 6 to 7 out of 10 (some superficial scratches/scuffs (one small deeper scratch on Cotton side that ticks loudly one time) - mild surface dulling) plays: 6 to 7 out of 10 (nice player with some crackle and a few pops) Looks E- Plays E-

NOTE: all recordings were made with a digital USB connection Stanton player, and recorded in lo-fi audio quality. Especially with the 78 rpm recordings the sound will be worse than when played on a proper set-up.
The crackle or hiss sound worse then when we play these on our old Lenco L70.
