Description
For Sale are 3 used 10" shellac records. They are:
- 1929 Columbia recording by Paul Whiteman and his band with the incomparable Bix Beiderbecke of "I'm in Seventh Heaven" and "Little Pal." This is Columbia 1877-D with the "potato head" Whiteman. The previous owner and this and other similar Whiteman/Bix records that I will be listing was a Beiderbecke collector. Since I am not a grader I will give you his grading, which is lightly on the record. Both sides grade E-. If there is no grade, I will not give one, but they are all similar in condition. If there are any other notations about condition, I will give you those as well. Record will be packed in a sturdy cardboard mailer. Please check out the photos and use them as a guide in which to make a decision.
1928 10" shellac record from Columbia of PAUL WHITEMAN and his ORCHESTRA featuring Bix Beiderbecke playing "Felix the Cat." The reverse side has "Mother Goose Parade". This is Columbia 1478-D and has the "potato head" Whiteman on the label. The previous owner of this and other similar Whiteman/Bix records that I will be listing was a Beiderbecke collector. 1928 10" shellac record by Chester Hazlett (sax) of the Paul Whiteman Orchestra of VALSE INSPIRATION and TO A WILD ROSE. This is Columbia 1844-D. The previous owner of this and other similar Whiteman/Bix records that I will be listing was a Beiderbecke collector. Since I am not a grader, I will give you his grading, which is lightly on the record. If there is no grade, I will not give one, but they are all in similar condition. If there are any other notations about condition, I will give you those as well. No written grade but looks and plays great. Two small edge chips on one side not affecting the play of the record. Will be securely packed in a cardboard mailer. Please check out the photos to help in determining condition.
