Faure Elegie for Cello and Orchestra



Original issue from 1958.

Not a repressing.

Mono.


I will be conservative and critical with grading.

Any blemishes/ faults, however minor will be noted and described.

All the pictures are of the actual item for sale.


The flimsy sleeve is in nice condition for it’s age.

Graded at EX -


Front.

Laminated.

Minor corner bump bottom left.

Similar top left. A bit of laminate loss.

Minor rubbing to spine.


Back.

Scalloped back.

Very clean.


Record.

Flat and centred.


Factory Sample Not For Sale sticker on label Side 2.


Side 1.

No discernible spindle marks.

Sone marks, probably caused by removal from sleeve.


Side 2.

A couple of minor non feelable marks.

One very noticeable but it does not affect playback.


I have given this a quick listen and there are some pops in the quieter parts.

The record would probably benefit from a good deep clean (I have not tried to do this, I do not have a machine) as this has, I believe, been in storage for over 50 years.


I cannot guarantee that cleaning will remove the background noise/crackle.
