Description

  • 12 inch, stereo LP, 33 1/3 rpm
  • The album was originally issued in 1990 on the 'Lookout! Records' label
  • This was the debut studio album from the band, this version is on black vinyl
  • The cover has the Berkeley address on the rear, rather than the Laytonville address of the early pressings, which appears to date this release to post 1992.
  • Personnel:- Billy Joe Armstrong - lead vocals and guitar; Mike Dirnt - bass and backing vocals; John Kiffmeyer - drums, percussion and backing vocals

  • Mastered by John Golden at K-Disc, Hollywood
  • Recorded at Art Of Ears Studios, San Francisco ('in 22 hours from 4.30 p.m, Dec 29th, 1989 to Midnight, Jan 2nd, 1990)
  • The sleeve design is by Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy with original artwork by him and has a photo by Susie Grant on the front with photos of the band by Murray Bowls on the back together with track listing  and credits
  • Insert has original artwork on one side and copies of handwritten lyrics by Billie Joe Armstrong and letters by John Kiffmeyer and Larry Livermore (of Lookout!) to IRS Records
  • Plain white paper, inner sleeve, with rounded corners. 

  • Catalogue number:- On spine and labels - No. 22, on back cover #22
  • Matrix marks:- Side A: LOOKOUT 22-A    BILL, MIKE, JOHN: LOYAL FILTH GROUPIES   L-34891   WE ? JAKE (etched)

Condition

  • The record appears to be in good condition
  • There are no visible scratches, but there is an audible pop on side 1, track 1 for 3 or 4 revolutions. No signs of warping.
  • Apart from the aforementioned, plays very well.
  • The outer sleeve has some very faint creases. The inner sleeve has some slight creases and a small tear at the centre hole (see photos).
  • Inserts appears unmarked and undamaged
  • Based on the guidelines of the Record Collectors Guild, I would say this record is 'Very Good' (www.recordcollectorsguild.org)
