Description

As I continue on my trek towards old fartdom, I'll be listing a lot of my way cool VHS tapes, books, LPs, 45s, CDs and music-related memorabilia on eBay in the coming months, so be sure to check back every once in a while, won't you? This is a rare vintage 1972 boxed 3-LP record set compilation of rock and psychedelic bands titled “Fillmore / The Last Days” which includes bonus inserts inside. The venue was under the direction of Bill Graham as Fillmore West, and was a San Francisco hot spot for the Hip / Hippie crowd. These were the last bands that played at the Fillmore, before it closed up. The 33-1/3 3-record set is numbered Fillmore / CBS Records No. Z3X-31390, and includes 19 tracks, by groups such as The Grateful Dead, Santana, Hot Tuna, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Taj Mahal, Tower of Power, Elvin Bishop Group, Box Scaggs, Quicksilver, Malo & more. The BONUS items inside include a 32-page descriptive booklet; reproduced 22” x 27-3/4” folded Concert Poster for the last concert w/ the Grateful Dead & others, a reproduced Ticket for Chuck Berry / Eric Burdon (2 ½" x 4 ½") and a 7" promotional record with a Bill Graham interview (Fillmore / CBS No. AS7-1049) with custom sleeve. The box/cover is in good condition with age / rub wear and foxing on the front & back. The Records are in Excellent condition w/ vivid shine. The BONUS contents of the set are all in Excellent condition, It does not appear as if the 7” record was ever played, nor the poster even unfolded except for these pictures. Please examine all images carefully before buying.  Question?  Ask first. This unique piece of rock history ships via USPS Media Mail.
