Toote Khilone BOLLYWOOD MOOG FUNK Bappi Lahiri 1st India 1977 EX+
TOOTE KHILONE from 1977 looks like an ultra cheap 80s b-grade production, but due to Bappi Lahiri’ it contains two AMAZINGLY funky tracks. The song Kya Jane Yeh Duniya Kya Jan shows Bappi at his best: funky, lucid and with an experimental twist. The track features the ultra funky vibes of the multi instrumentalist and arranger KERSI LORD and with his electronics he also treats his father CAWAS LORD’s bongos with delay! Ultra funky and very pleasently sung by AMIT KUMAR, son of Kishore Kumar, and the singer/actress SULAHSHANA PANDIT, sister of the composers duo Jatin-Lalit.
The other track is sung by Bappida himself and features crazy moog stuff & “dope” beats.
India 1977, sleeve VG+ (has tape, see pics), record EX+ VERY clean and awesome sound!
