Description

Hi, I have a few copies of the deluxe wooden box edition of Solti's recording of Wagner's Ring Cycle. Please take a look at my other items.
This item is:
Set No.4

  • 1st press wooden box issue of Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen, Solti conducting the Vienna Philharmonic
  • UK Decca pressing RING 1-22
  • All 4 operas come with their own colour coordinated Decca inner sleeves and booklets. Also in this set is the 3lp Introduction to the Ring.
  • Records are in EX+ to EX condition; these records have seen little play, some sides have a few light sweating / sleeve removal marks, some have a light pattern in the vinyl visible under a strong light - this is common with Decca pressings (radial / sunburst style factory pressing pattern) - non of these marks will affect play. There's a chance of a few light ticks on side 10 of Die Walkure, and sides 5 and 6 of Das Rheingold - these sides grade EX-.
  • Coloured Inner Sleeves are in nice condition, they grade NM to EX. Booklets are in VG condition, clean but have rusting to the staples that has left small brown marks on some pages next to the staples.
  • Wooden Box is in nice condition, EX-, just a few light cosmetic marks.
  • The slip cases are in EX condition - a small nick to the top of Das Rheingold and some excess paper running down the edge of Siegfried - this could be cut off if you were skilful with a craft knife
This box set is very heavy and will require courier shipment. 
*******All records graded under a strong light to strict standards*******. I do not clean records, (I don't have an ultrasonic machine), if any of the discs need a clean this will be mentioned in the listing; I would advise all records to be pro cleaned to ensure the best possible playback.
