A LOT OF VALUABLE VINYL!!!
Ah yes the 70s...60s group were breaking up and there were new kids on the block.
We all know Roger as a founding member of the Byrds. This is a self titled solo effort (post Byrds) and most tunes are original or rearranged by him. He has star studded cooperation on this album including Gene Clark w/ whom he founded the Byrds, David Crosby, Graham Nash and even Bob Dylan on harmonica. You can hear all these influences clearly. Draggin' yells Beach Boys at me but is a McGuinn tune.
Spencer Davis (after The Spencer Davis Group Break up) teamed up with Peter Jameson for this acoustic guitar album in 1971. Wistful and pleasing to the ear.
Average White Band began in 1973 but hit it big with this album and the monster instrumental Pick Up The Pieces. Scottish by birth but dabbling in funk, pop rock and soul. Great listen.
J. Geils formed the band in 1967 but they did not record until the 70s. Must Of Got Lost was the big hit for this album. And a catchy tune at that... 1974.
