THE TRANSYLVANIA TWIST/GHOST GUITARS--VG 1963 Seven-inch 45 rpm Single by Baron Daemon and The Vampires--on the WNYS-TV [Channel 9] label (out of Syracuse, New York)--Baron Daemon was the character name of a kids' TV show vampire played by Mike Price, who worked in various broadcasting roles for the television station, which started out in 1962 with the WNYS call letters and had Price as one of its original employees, and 46 years later and after various call letter name changes, Price just retired in June, 2008, but in 1963, his second of those 46 years, this record was a huge hit in the Syracuse area--the backing band on the record, The Vampires, were actually Sam and The Twisters, led by Sam Amato
