Hi! Thanks for looking at my listing. This is a used 1962 45RPM record of Ronnie Dio and the Prophets singing "The Ooh-Poo-Pah-Doo" (A-side) and "Love Pains" on the B-side. Yes, it's THAT Ronnie Dio! Black Sabbath Ronnie Dio! I couldn't believe it either, but he sounds just incredible on this record. The A-side song was super-popular at the time - a ton of artists recorded covers of it. This one is my favorite though!
This was my mother's record. I have no idea why it's got a gold star on it (some of her records have it and some don't). It comes in a paper sleeve marked "Atlantic," and so it might be the original that it came with. I don't know. It's torn but holds together well. Inside, the record is in Fair to Good condition. I see some minor scratches on it that might impair playing. These might be something that can be cleaned or restored away.
I can make no promises about whether or not the record plays properly. I offer it for sale as a novelty and memento of an age--and an incredible artist--long gone by.
