How it hit Orlando FL

This record has a great story.

As a 15-year-old I was visiting my family in Muscatine, Iowa. I was a city kid from Orlando FL —100% hippie attired in a cross of Young Rascals and ? and The Mysterians attire, so it was kind of obvious I did not live there. I found this tiny record shop, where I met Dave Meyers from the band Corruption Inc.

I did get to see them live, and when I went back to Florida, I hand carried their record given to me by the band, along with one of their gig posters.

mI lived in Florida and hung around our local radio station a lot. I took the record to WLOF and played it for Bill Vermillion, who decided it to be airworthy but NOT from Muscatine Iowa.

Bill wrote in bright red ink on the label “Please Play” and “from Chicago ILl”

He also put a red X to indicate the plug side and it lived in the control room of WLOF for some time. Because my name was on the other side and pretty much everone there knew me, I got it back.

The condition is only VG -VG+ to a blind eye because it did live in a radio station control room.

The last copy I saw of this being sold was listed at over $600 but it was pretty pristine BUT it didn’t have a poster .

Actually you’re only getting a FREE repro of the poster. I’m keeping mine for now. Don’t think they will mind. ❤️🤣

The vinyl has a number of surface flaws (it ain’t pretty) but I played it on two different turntables and it did not skip on either side.

The label is as above described- written on by Bill “The Weird Beard” Vermillion of WLOF channel 95 Orlando FL and myself putting my name on it.

I will be up front and tell you I sold it once before and the buyer had issue with the condition so I returned the money even though i dont normally do returns.

I re-tested it and noise yes, as to be expected for a scuffed VG, but I could not detect a skip anywhere.

AFTER I TOOK IT BACK SOME SITE CALLED GRIPSWEAT DOT COM TOOK MY LISTING AND PHOTOS AND SLAPPED IT IN THEIR DATABASE AS SOLD —TOTALLY SCREWING MY RELIST. SO IF YOU SWEATHOGS ARE READING THIS …Take that listing down.

This is one great record has a ton of history and deserves a loving home. We tried so hard to break these guys out of Muscatine 🤣🙃💕💃
