Description
In the Soviet Union, like in most of the pre-internet world, children's entertainment mainly came in three formats; state-sponsored live performances, the screen (TV, cinema), or the phonograph. To keep things lively, a wide selection of vinyl records were produced in the USSR, such as this set of four (4) 33 ⅓ RPM fairy tale albums featuring the most popular children's characters!

The records are in very good vintage shape, and come with the original sleeves. The titles are:
1. Александр Пушкин – Сказка О Царе Салтане, Мелодия – Д 010299-300 • Alexander Pushkin - The Tale of Tsar Saltan, Melody - D 010299-300 Format: Vinyl, LP, Repress, Mono 12", 1962. The tale is dedicated to the story of the marriage of Tsar Saltan and the birth of his son, Prince Gvidon, who, due to the machinations of his aunts, ends up on a desert island, meets a sorceress there - the Swan Princess, with her help becomes a powerful ruler and reunites with his father.
2. Various Artist – Волшебное Колечко, Мелодия – 33 С 50—11025-26 • Magic Ring, Format: Vinyl, LP Country: USSR Released: 1978. Ivan is a simple village boy who has no money at all. He lives with his old mother. Vanya goes to the market to sell either his last hat, or his last shirt, or a jacket with pockets, but he changes clothes for the cat Masha, the dog Zhuzhu and the snake Scarapei, whom he took pity on. A little later, Vanya found out that the snake was not simple, but magical: it turned out that she was the daughter of the snake king. For the fact that Vanya saved her, she gave him a magic ring, to which three little men are tied, capable of fulfilling any desire.
3. Р. Киплинг – Маугли Мелодия – Д 026267-68, Rudyard Kipling's Mowgli, Format: Vinyl, LP, Mono, Repress Country: USSR, 1980. From The Jungle Book, a collection of stories by the English author Rudyard Kipling. Most of the characters are animals such as Shere Khan the tiger and Baloo the bear, though a principal character is the boy or "man-cub" Mowgli, who is raised in the jungle by wolves.
4. Геннадий Гладков – Хоттабыч! • Gennady Gladkov - Hottabych! Мелодия – С50—13793-4 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Repress Country: USSR, 1980. A wonderful fairy story was written by Lazar Lagin. "Old Man Khottabych" tells how a powerful sorcerer from Arab mythology enters the Soviet state and gets acquainted with the realities of the 1930s.

Condition: All records have been cleaned with a record cleaning machine. Vinyls are in Very Good condition with signs of use, as to be expected by a well-used children's record, nothing that prevents the enjoyment of these tales. Comes with the original sleeves, but they have signs of wear. See photos for details.
