ARTIST: Giuseppe "Joe" Venuti (September 16, 1903 – August 14, 1978) was an Italian-American jazz musician and pioneer jazz violinist. Considered the father of jazz violin, he pioneered the use of string instruments in jazz along with the guitarist Eddie Lang, a childhood friend of his. Through the 1920s and early 1930s, Venuti and Lang made many recordings, as leader and as featured soloists. -CONDITION: SHELLAC: all used but good. Cleaned from dust, but if cleaned better should produce cleaner sound and prevent skips.
SOUND: I played each record. They all play solid, background noise is present! Orchestra dominates the sound if recorded louder, but quiet parts have some shhh and tick sounds heard! OVERALL SOLID PLAY for 78 rpm standards -
COVER JACKET: Original old sleeves called recordvelope. Worn out sides taped. G+.
SHELLAC TENDS TO BREAK VERY EASILY! Always take in with 2 hands when placing it!
