Description

This auction is for five 78rpm records on the AMERICAN RECORD COMPANY label from around 1904 to 1906 that are on blue wax / shellac. All on one-sided lateral-cut disc records. Labels say "Music hath Charms" by Hawthorne, Sheble & Prescott Sales Managers Springfield, Mass., U.S.A. First is #031185 by Regimental Band of the Republic doing MOONLIGHT (G+ condition). Second is #031242 by Arthur Collins doing I'M GETTING SLEEPY (V- condition). Third is #031240by Edward Burrow doing STAR OF  BETHLEHEM (V- condition). Forth is #031086 by Billy Murray doing YANKEE DOODLE BOY (G condition). Fifth is #031187 by The Regimental Band of the Republic doing THE THURDERER MARCH (heavy wear G- condition). All records play all the way through without any skips on my Victrola and there are no cracks or major chips; but they are pretty worn with lots of static, ticks, and pops and not much loudness. All labels are intact in VG condition with no writing or tears (see photos) but some of the song/artist titles are faint due to fading. Even though these are in rough condition, I am hoping someone appreciates the age and unusual label of these records and can use them. If you have any questions or would like more pictures, please ask before bidding.

Payment is by Paypal service only and payment is due within 24 hours of auction closing. I have been shipping fragile 78rpm records for over 30 years and have not had one break yet; so they will be packaged well for safe shipment.
