Description
In an usual lot listing are 5 Arabic 78 rpm records on the Arabphon label. Some of these records are not in as good shape over all as my other recent listings. Somebody enjoyed them enough to handle them frequently. I will do my best to describe each, keep in mind I am not a record grader. I do not read Arabic and will just write what I can read from each record.
Arabphon 101 A-B: Om Kalsoum; Boukras-Safar. The label has some wear, The record has scuffs and scratches and would look much better after a cleaning.
Arabphon 183 A-B: Om-Kalsoum, Ala Balad El Mahboub/Nesheed Farouk. The label is worn, esp on side a. The playing surface has significant scuffing and could use a cleaning. But should play through with background noise.
Arabphon 305 A-B: Tal Entezarry La Wahdy/ Ugibat BI. Abdel Wahab is written on the A side in blue pen, but the label is otherwise in relatively good shape. The playing surface of this records is much better off then the first two but could use a cleaning. Some scuffing and fingerprints.
Arabphon 309 A-B: Yadi El-Nahim. Abdel Wahab is written on the B-side in blue ink, but the label looks alright otherwise. The record is scuffed up a bit and could stand a cleaning but looks good overall.
Arabphon 606 A-B: El Ameh (Abdel Wahab)Film: Lastu Malakan. This is the only one with a red sun instead of yellow, the label is different in a few other minor ways and says, "imported recording made in U.S.A." Someone has written "God bless all" in pencil on the b-side. The label looks crisper in the newer style. The record could very much use a cleaning but underneath that is alright a few scuffs and scratches.
