Description
Available at auction are 5 Capitol LP inner sleeves and 1 Vee-Jay LP inner sleeve. During the Beatles' and Beach Boys' era Capitol Records used different colored inner sleeves.
12TC is Mustard. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Surfin' USA" and "Surfin' Safari" in 1963. There is a 1/4" seam split on the left edge center.
12 TC-1 is Dark Blue. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Meet The Beatles" and "The Beatles' 2nd Album". There is a 1" seam split on the bottom edge center. Some wear along the top edge.
PE 12-2BL is Olive-Green. It was used on "Help" and "Rubber Soul". There are no seam-splits.
PE 12-3BL is Gold. It was used on original "Yesterday and Today" and "Revolver" issues. There are no seam-splits.
PE 12-4BJ is Light Brown. It was used on 1967 re-issues. Rarely used with SGT. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour according to some. There is a 1.75" seam split on the bottom edge center and a 1" seam split on the right edge center.
The Vee-Jay sleeve used in 1964 has a 1" seam split on the left edge and a 5" split on the bottom edge center. Some wear along top edge.
