Five Early Country Western / Hillbilly 78 Records – Rare Titles
Up for auction: Here are five 78 records from the early years of country western music. These five records feature some good music on some very hard-to-find titles. This set will make a fine addition to a country western music collection. Here are the titles:
David McCarn: Victor (His Master’s Voice – Canadian) 23532 (G: Two small rim chips on one side that do not affect play) Hobo Life & The Bashful Bachelor
Kelly Harrell: Victor 20103 (G+: Rim chips, one on each side, does not affect play) My Horses Ain’t Hungry & Hand me Down My Walking Cane
Dr. Humphrey Bate & His Possum Hunters: Brunswick 243 (E-) Dill Pickles Rag & Take Your Foot Out of the Mud and Put it in the Sand
Dad Blackard’s Moonshiners: Victor 21130 (E) Sandy River Belle & Suzanna Gal
Clay Everhart & the North Carolina Cooper Boys: Columbia 15737-D (E-: Small sticker on label on both sides) Standing By a Window & The Rose With a Broken Stem
These records sound great and play very well. They should be a pleasure for the collector and the listener alike. I grade my records according to the grading system by Les Docks in the American Premium Record Guide. Take advantage of these rare titles
