“WHOOPEE” ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK DISCS FROM UNIVERSAL ARTISTS CORPORATION. 

THESE 16 INCH, SHELLACK DISCS WERE ISSUED TO MOVIE THEATERS TO BE PLAYED WITH EACH REEL OF THE MOVIE IN THE EARLY DAYS OF "TALKING PICTURES" 

I used the term “Vitaphone” in the title as these discs are similar in the way that they are used to show a movie, but not produced by The Vitaphone Company

This collection includes 5 of the 6 discs that would be used as the soundtrack with the original film to broadcast the movie.

There is crack & chip out of disc 2/4 which is visible in the scan.  I would estimate that about 1 minute is lost on reel #2, there is no material lost on reel #4, just a small click at the end of the disc, OTHERWISE THESE DISCS ARE IN EXCELLENT- CONDITION WITH NO OTHER CRACKS AND EXCELLENT- SOUND.
