50s Autograph Signed Rockabilly 45 Record Lou Millet Listen to: Chapel of My Heart $4 Shipping
This auction is for a great sounding copy of the Rockabilly Hillbilly single "Chapel of My Heart" backed with "When I Harvest My Love."
Lou Millet was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He started playing guitar when he was 16 years old and went on to form his own band called "The Melody Ramblers". The group stayed together for about four years and appeared on several radio stations in the area. Then Lefty Frizzell gave him his first big break and in 1953 he was the man given the task of leading Lefty's band when on tour. Other folks who helped Lou out included Troy Martin of the Southern Music Company and J. D. Miller of Crowley, Louisiana and Don Lan of Columbia Records.
As an interesting side-note, Lou worked for the Standard Oil Company for seven years before getting into the entertainment business.
This record is SUPER rare and is signed (autographed) by Lou Millet. The inscription reads "To Gladys - Best Wishes Lou Millet." I stand behind the authenticity of this signature and if you win and would later like me to provide a certificate of authenticity I will gladly do so for you.
Week after week, I bring to rarest in rockabilly records. The condition of this record is as follows. There are a few very little light marks that were likely created by removal and replacement into the paper sleeve on the "When I Harvest My Love" side (VG+ to VG++). On the "Chapel of my Heart" side there is the signature on the center label and the grooves have a 6.0 cm focus where it looks like the record rubbed on the selector of a jukebox. This side like the flip is also very clean and sounds nice, but this focus pulls down the grade of this side to a VG. If you win this record auction and are unhappy with my grading of this record - I promise to refund you the full purchase price (including postal fees) upon this record's safe return to me.Please take a look at my other auctions. Why? Because if you win one or more of them, I can send all the records together for the low-low shipping charge of just $4.00 in sum total. When you are saving $6-8 per record on postage, you can put more money towards music and less is wasted on freight charges.
