5-Lot Led Zeppelin LP’s, Not NM, But All in Very Nice Condition, NO TRASH!

Please note: These records are not sold for sound quality.  I’m currently without a turntable, and I don’t have the ability to test-play vinyl.  If that’s an issue for you, please skip this auction, as I have no way of guaranteeing their sound quality.

1. Led Zeppelin SD 8216 Self-Titled

1841 Broadway address at bottom of labels.

Vinyl--- VG+.  Both sides have a modest amount of very, very light scratches, not many at all.  Mostly original shine!

Plates--- ST-A-681461-A pei AT W RG/ ST-A-681462-A pei AT W RG

Cover--- VG+.  Structurally solid, NO SPLIT SEAMS.  Light dirtwear, not bad at all.  Bottom right corner crunch.  Bottom seam has shelfwear, with a minor loss of jacket slick.

Gold Record Award emblem affixed to the front cover.

Labels--- EX/VG. Side 1 has extremely few spindle marks, otherwise NM.  Side 2 is the same, except that the previous owner wrote her name on it.

Inner Sleeve--- VG.  Original ATCO sleeve is present, has general wear.  Bottom seam split 3 inches.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

2. Led Zeppelin II SD 19127

Columbia Record Club Warner Bros. 75 Rockefeller Plaza Address

Vinyl--- Very Strong VG+, close to Excellent, but not quite there.  By far, mostly original shine with a handful of very light lines per side.

Plates--- ST-A-691671-CRC-2 T/ ST-A-691672-CRC-2 T1.  Each side has an indistinguishable marking that looks like “OLAP” or “CLAP.”

Cover--- VG+.  Top and bottom seams have shelfwear with some loss of slick, NO SPLIT SEAMS.  Gatefold has a small split at the bottom.

Labels--- EX/EX.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.  Both labels have “CRC” printed on them, standing for “Columbia Record Club.”

Record Club issues pressed on Columbia lathes may have a distinctly different sound quality than Atlantic’s lathes.  This vinyl stock is thinner and more flexible, like Columbia’s records from the mid-70’s.  The concentric groove is also consistent with Columbia lathes, being very thin and closer to the outer edge of the labels.

This one might sound differently than what you’re used to!

Inner Sleeve--- Generic white.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

3. Led Zeppelin III SD 7201

1841 Broadway address at bottom of labels.

Vinyl--- Strong VG.  I wouldn’t blame someone if they graded this one VG+.  This LP has the most scratches of the lot, however; none of them are feelable, and there is still plenty of original shine to both sides.

Plates--- ST-A-702005-BB-MO (Y in a circle), Delta symbol with a line through it, (MR in a circle, machine-stamped for “Monarch Records”) (1) one, another Delta symbol with a line through it, 15193, Mastercraft PR, “Do What thou Wilt,” AT.

ST-A-702006-AM-MO (W in a circle), (MR in a circle, machine-stamped for “Monarch Records”) (2) two, Delta symbol with a line through it, 15193-X, Mastercraft PR, “Do What Thou Wilt,” AT.

Jesus, Led Zeppelin, save some for next time!

Cover--- Strong VG.  Top and bottom seams have shelfwear and loss of slick.  Wheel still spins perfectly.  Front cover has a price sticker affixed to it.  Back cover has light creases, moderate to heavy dirtwear and ringwear. Gatefold has a raised crease about one third from the bottom up.

Labels--- EX/NM.  Side 1 label is raised from sticker removal, very small area.  Side 2 label looks newly-printed.

Inner Sleeve--- EX. Generic white sleeve with no die-cut holes for the labels to show through.  Slight yellowing, NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

4. Led Zeppelin IV ZOSO SD 7208

Very nice Second Pressing!

Vinyl--- VG+.  Both sides have a modest amount of very, very light scratches, not many at all.  Mostly original shine!

Plates--- PECKO ST-A-712285D AT imp (or iht) PR/ PECKO DUCK ST-A-712286D AT isp PR

Cover--- VG+. Structurally solid, NO SPLIT SEAMS.  Light dirtwear, not bad at all.  Bottom seam has shelfwear, with a minor loss of jacket slick.

Labels--- EX/ EX. Catalogue number, SD 7208, is in the thicker and larger font than the later issues.  Concentric ring is much closer to the playhole.

Inner Sleeve--- VG.  Presents very well.  This is the second inner sleeve, halfway between the parchment-ish texture and the white sleeve.  More like the texture of a paper bag.  Side sem splits, very small ones.  Light stain on the upper left corner on the track listing side.  Light record outdent.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

5. Houses of the Holy SD 7255

(Almost positive this is a first pressing.)

1841 Broadway address at bottom of labels.

Vinyl--- EX/EX.  Just one or maybe two light lines per side.  95% original shine.

Plates--- ST-A-732783-BBB, CP, AT, PR/ ST-A-732784-BBB, CP, AT, STERLING (Machine-Stamped) RL, PR

(STERLING refers of course to Sterling Sound out of New York, who were one of the plants doing first pressings, as well as later ones.)

Cover--- Strong VG+, almost Excellent.  The only real issue is that there is light ringwear to the front and back covers.  Top and bottom seams have miniscule shelfwear and slick loss.  Gatefold is nice!

Labels--- EX/EX.  Barely perceptible wear, these labels could be graded NM by some.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Labels have the darker graphics and full gloss, as opposed to the others, which is characteristic of first pressings. 

Inner Sleeve--- VG. Would have graded Excellent, had it not been for the brown fingerprint on Side 2.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
