Description
Six very rare 7”s from around the world, all original issue.
1) The Mystics ‘Somebody New’ b/w ‘Song of the Wind’. Hong Kong beat/ garage rock from 1968. Diamond records D. 269 x 45. Vinyl a good vg, just some very fine hairlines, no serious marks and plays like a vg++, even the quieter B side. Plain sleeve.
2) Sornpetch Sornsuphan / Paitoon Luk
Petch - Lonely in the city / Can sound (ศรเพชร ศรสุพรรณ / ไพฑูรย์ ลูกเพชร – เปลี่ยวใจในกรุง / เสียงแคนเสียงซุง). Lovely warbling Luk Thung from Thailand, late 1960s? On the Sompetch
ตรา ศรเพชร label. Vg+.
3) Egyptian Mysical Club ‘Arusi’ b/w part two. Stunning Taarab from Kenya. On Saba Saba, 1960s? SABA 7-94. A side is a very strong vg, close to vg+. Plays beautifully, no significant surface noise other than a few light clicks. B side visually vg-, still not much noise though. Centre intact but labels are quite worn, especially A side.
4) Liou Bang 7” ‘Dreamer’ () on Singapore label Polar Bear SE1054, 1970. Pop rock. Stunning condition, vg++, sleeve is mint-, with postcard insert.
5) Cyprian Liswaniso & Group ’Ha Ni Kula / Guitar Ya Bo Ndate Singongi’, 1969 on Zamba ZAM.5. Hypnotic Zambian folk music. Vg+.
6) S. Mohinder ‘Man Jeete Jag Jeet’, Indian Bhangra/ Bollywood 7” on HMV 7EPE 11001, from 1973. Unfortunately in the wrong sleeve- the sleeve is for the other 7 inch ep from the same film, cat no. 7EPE 11002. Sleeve and vinyl both vg+.
