THE MIRETTES
"NOW THAT I FOUND YOU, BABY"
HEAR HERE!
A. Starts of with a few bars of keyboards (repeated during the two Lurch-like breaks); the rest is pure Mirwood, with a solid dance beat well to the fore during the chorus; even the slightly mellower verses have a ticking rhythm; this side was written and produced by Sherlie Matthews of The Belles (note that "Let Me Do It" - a.k.a. "I Wanna Do Everything For You Baby" - was booted on Soul Galore as by The Belles, but is really an unissued track by The Mirettes)
b/w
"HE'S ALL RIGHT WITH ME"
HEAR HERE!
B. So good that Mirwood released it twice (initially on 5514, as the A-side of their first single); powerful on-the-fours beat from the off, with oodles of brass and a booming bass line; written by Jimmy Thomas; produced by Fred Smith and Bob Relf; released in the UK at least three times on 45 (Jay Boy/Soul Fox/Contempo-Raries) - and that's just in the pre-CD era
LISTEN TO BOTH SIDES IN FULL VIA THE YOUTUBE POSTING ABOVE (NOT TAKEN FROM THE SALE COPY)
