A. THIS TREMENDOUS HAMMOND TAKE ON THE WELL-KNOWN MICK JAGGER/KEITH RICHARD POP-ROCK HIT IS THE FIRST TRACK ON WYNDER K. FROG'S SECOND ALBUM; TITLED "OUT OF THE FRYING PAN", THE LP WAS MOSTLY PRODUCED BY GUS DUDGEON, WHO WENT ON TO WORK ON MUCH OF ELTON JOHN'S EARLY 70s OUTPUT; THE U.K. ISLAND FOLLOW-UP TO THIS SINGLE WAS THE CLUB CLASSIC "GREEN DOOR", TAKEN FROM THE SAME SET; THE BRITISH B-SIDE OF "JJF" WAS CALLED "BALDY" (THE TITLE OF WHICH FOR SOME REASON I NOW TAKE GREAT OFFENCE TO!)

B. WHILE IT MIGHT SEEM SACRILEGE TO MESS AROUND WITH AN ALL-TIME NORTHERN SOUL CLASSIC, AT LEAST WYNDER K. FROG DID IT IN SOME STYLE; THE BEAUTY OF "I FEEL SO BAD" IS THAT IT USES JACKIE EDWARDS' ORIGINAL BACKING TRACK - REPLACING THE VOCALS WITH BLISTERING HAMMOND B3 LICKS FROM KEYBOARD-WIZARD MICK WEAVER; ANOTHER IS THAT THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO OBTAIN THE INSTRUMENTAL AS A 7" SINGLE; IT WASN'T RELEASED AS SUCH IN BRITAIN - THE ONLY WAY TO OBTAIN IT IN THE U.K. IS ON WYNDER K. FROG'S DEBUT ALBUM, "SUNSHINE SUPER FROG", ON WHICH IT IS THE SECOND TRACK; THIS SIDE WAS PRODUCED BY ISLAND'S HEAD HONCHO, CHRIS BLACKWELL
