By far and away the rarest DAVE CLARK FVE album, no USA release and onl issued in Canada on the highly sought, collectible rainbow Capitol "6000 series" ...
The first issue from May 1966, it's hard to believe why this album was released and based on the fact that it was not released in the USA reflects the obvious fact of: no commercial potential. As one might expect, with 1966 near the end of the British Invasion scene, the album sank like a rock and is little known -- many collectors have no idea the album even exists... BUT the cool thing is, The DAVE CLARK FIVE actually PLAY despite no vocals makes it an interesting artifact some 45 years later....The album is of interest for British Invasion & mid 60's collectors attracted by the rarity and artwork of the physical artifact. Side one in particular has some surprisingly Duane Eddy-like twanging guitar, though side two moves into more rocking territory, occasionally with spy movie-like motifs.
This LP was only issued in Canada for a very short time, no doubt almost immediately deleted and is very rarely offered for sale.

CONDITION: The Cover:The all important cover with the unique collectible cover photo is still in pretty strong shape VG++ having only a little bit of rub wear starting, otherwise tiny bb delete bottom left as well as very slight handling spider line crease at bottom left, everything minor and serves as a collectible artifact of a very rare original 44 year old Lp
The Vinyl: The 60's deep groove pressing plays very solid VG++ with only a little bit of random low surface, audio is enjoyable even with the visuals VG(+) having numerous light hairthin marks, very durable pressing.
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
