Description
This is an extremely rare original officially authorized Mono stock copy pressing of THE DOORS, "Strange Days" LP, 1967, EKL-4014 [M], (Brown Elektra labels/ Mono numbers on front and back covers, stereo numbers on spine). Vinyl condition VG+. Cover condition VG. Includes original custom inner sleeve with band photo and lyrics on other side. Inner sleeve seams are partly split.
There is a nice shiny gloss to each side's surface that looks to be in very good order although there is some slight evidence of some superficial surface scratches and or scuffs. Some spindle marks are evident on the label. The MONO sound is unique and much more ballsy than the stereo version enhancements. There is some low surface noise here and there but overall the play holds up very well with no skips.
The cover jacket is totally intact with no split seams and a sturdy spine. EKL-4014 (mono) signatures on both the front and back covers. The spine lists the stereo stock number which is indicative of these early covers. There appears to be some slight ring wear on the front cover but nothing too overwhelming. Some very slight fraying to the corners. The custom inner sleeve's seams are partially split.
