Description
A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF MOVIE SOUND TRACK LPs WHERE SOUND TRACK WAS CREATED BY DIMITRI TIOMKIN. This collection of 6 sound tracks LPs, first released in the late 1950s to 1960s when the movies were made, was produced in France in 1979. The thick blue cloth sturdy box/sleeve has the code, CBS 66604 and notes CBS Special Products. The individual records had different CBS codes, which are noted below. This date cannot be found on the LPs or the insert. I surmised this date from finding the individual LPs listed on discogs, with their individual CBS codes, as being produced in 1979. The six LPs are:
CBS 83123, The Old Man and the Sea w/Spencer Tracy CBS 83120, 55 Days at Peking w/ Charlton Heston, Ava Gardner, and David Niven CBS 83121, The Alamo w/ John Wayne, Richard Widmark, and Laurence Harvey CBS 83119, The Fall of the Roman Empire w/ Sophia Loren, Stephen Boyd, Alec Guinness and others. This LP was presented in a gatefold. CBS 83122, The Guns of Navarone w/Gregory Peck, David Niven, and Anthony Quinn CBS 83124, Wild is the Wind w/ Anthony Quinn and Anna Magnani
4 page glossy insert in French and English.
All LP jackets and LPs in NEAR MINT CONDITION. They LPs do not even look like they've been removed from the box, much less the original white sleeves with playing instructions. All LPs inspected and confirmed grade NM.
