Description
This 7-inch vinyl record is a rare gem from the Memphis Punk scene of the 1980s. Featuring the band Side By Side, the EP titled "You're Only Young Once" was released in 1988 by Revelation Records in the United States. The record is in near mint condition (NM or M-). The paper sleeve comes with an original inner sleeve and lyric insert, and the cover includes an original sticker. The vinyl matrix number is R 12329, and this is the second pressing and limited edition of only 2000 copies. The genre of this EP is Punk, Hard Core Punk, and Strait Edge, and the instrument used includes Guitar, Bass, Vocals, and Drums.
This is generally referred to as the "second pressing", although it was actually recut and pressed now for the first time by a completely different pressing plant and from new plates. Technically this would be the first pressing of this new version of the release, but no one seems to refer to it as that. 2,000 copies were pressed on black vinyl. The side A center labels on this version are silver with black text. The cover is a fold-over cover that looks exactly like the first pressing, except that it opens up from the bottom, instead of at the top. This record was originally purchased by my husband who was a big fan of the Strait edge hardcore punk scene. Many of these were first pressings from when they came out. We are selling them to share them with other collectors that would truly appreciate them.
