E-bay lists 5 grade scales for both record sleeve and record. On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is brand new and never played, we used the following guideline when grading the items in this listing:
10 [NEW] New in shrink wrap or otherwise in like-new, never played condition.
09 [NM] Near Mint. Possibly played less than 5 times. Very much like-new.
08 [NM- or EX+] Near Mint -/Excellent + Very minor play or defects. No visible scratches. Newish shine on records
07 [EX] Excellent. A well cared for record with no or very minor visible scratch markings
06 [EX-] Excellent -. As 7 but more play time or minor defect observed.
05 [VG+] Very Good +. A well played record with some noticeable markings/wear.
04 [VG] Very Good. A well used record. Multiple markings, scratches, defects observed. Possible a deep scratch or 2. We usually don't list records under this condition.
03 [VG-] Very Good -. More defects and obvious scratching/marring.
02 [GD] Good. Record is badly damaged. Sleeve may be incomplete or badly damaged.
