7 LP Record J.D. Sumner & Stamps Quartet Record Southern Gospel Christian Music

Lot 7 LP Record J.D. Sumner & Stamps Quartet Vinyl Record Gospel Christian Music It is well known, teenage Elvis Presley idolized J.D. Sumner's deep bass voice and The King even made J.D. Sumner & Stamps Quartet his concert backup singers on tour from 1971 to 1977!! These LP records came from an estate group assembled by a man who worked for over 20 years in the East Carolina University (ECU) Music Library in Greenville, NC. His interest was mostly Classical & Opera, Jazz & Blues & some but unusual southern gospel albums came in from this collection also. This lifelong collection of records was assembled by a discriminating, condition only, audiophile collector & the vast majority of these albums remain in EX condition with no heavy playware—for the most part, clean shiny vinyl with generally little evidence of scratching or abuse present. Offered are a WELL CONDITIONED Group of (7) Early Period J.D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet Vinyl Record Gospel Christian Music LP records, as shown -- We have so many records still to sell, we will begin selling some of these artists in large groups.. I am happy to report (3) of these albums have been play tested and ALL remain in either VG++ or (mostly) EX condition...sounding about new!! These are "Temple Presents", "jim Hill" and "Colorful" (3) records falls a little short of sounding about new and these are "Exciting", Rare (C.1965?) "Temple Presents Command Performances" "Heart of Man" which have some minor ticks / and or background noise in spots but all Still Sound Very Good!!.. these (3) are all solid VG/VG+! The other (3) opened records are all VG++/EX- and sound pretty much like new.. "Live at Murray University" (2 LP set) is stil SEALED!!! 1964 "Temple Records Presents" and "Temple Presents Command Performances" are both on the Very Rarely Seen Temple Records lable of Nashville, TN and both are VG++ -- great sounding!! Neither of these LP records LP (or even the Temple Record Label) are recognized on Discogs!! Discogs lists the first J.D. Sumner record as the 1966 "J. D. Sumner And The Stamps Quartet Featuring Jim Hill" -- which you will also receive also -- in great sounding VG++ condition!! Butler, Sr., a founder of the Gospel Music Association and longtime Christian music force as a television producer.
