Description
On auction, we have a collection of original "Little Tots Records". Each book or album is made with inside envelopes holding the 7" vinyl records. The envelopes and all but album #1 have cover illustrations by Maude Trube. The labels on the records are printed "(copyright) 1923 The Regal Records Co. Inc. New York". This collection includes: 1. "No. 1 The Merry Songbook" (3 records) with "Jack And Jill"/ "Old King Cole", I Had A Little Doggie"/ "Mother Tabbyskins" and "Little Bo-Peep" / "Mary Had A Little Lamb". 2. "No. 3 The Jolly Game Book" (4 records) with "Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush"/ "Oats, Peas, Beans And Barley Grow", "The Farmer In The Dell"/ "London Bridge Is Falling Down", "Ten Little Darkies"/ "Jingle Bells"and "Ten Little Indians" / "Lazy Mary Will You Get Up". . 3. "No. 4 The Story Hour" (3 records) with "Little Red Riding Hood"/ "The Frog Prince", "Cinderella"/ "The Three Bears"and "Jack And The Beanstalk" / "Tom Thumb". 4. "No. 6 The Lullaby Book" (1 record) "The Sandman" / "Slumber Boat". 5. & 6 "No. 8 The Medley Book" 2 books, 3 records, each record has 4 medleys, here we have Medley #1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 8. 7. No. 11 The "Dance" Hour" (2 records) with "Polka"/"Minuet"and "Jig"/"Children's March". Plus, a "Playtime Records" with "A Frog He Would A Wooing Go" / "The Dog And The Cat". I'm certainly not an expert on vinyl records, but these appear to be in very good condition. "Ten Little Indians" has a crack and "Playtime Stories has some light scratches (pictured). The rest appear to be good, but some could use a cleaning. The books show wear and long storage. Some of of the inside envelopes are torn and wrinkled. I have not tested these records for sound or clarity. Please see my photographs for more description. My friend is moving to a smaller home and parting with some of her treasures. She had these as a child. I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping. This collection weighs 4 pounds 4.5 ounces.
