“Fechotte”
A great disc of Mohamed Jamoussi (1910-1982) from his early days! This disc was recorded in 1938 and has a sweet oud intro played by Maurice Benais who also played with Cheikh El Afrit regularly. Mohamed Jamoussi learned Quranic recitation and chant growing up but his father also sung nachids and mahid as well as classical malouf music. Here we can hear him in his early years when he was first starting his musical career in Tunis.
Disc: VG+ in very nice clean condition. Some surface marks and a few scratches, but places excellent.
